Formerly the Schedule to the Promissory Oaths Ordinance,

required only "The Marine Magistrate" to take the judicial

oath. Section 3 makes the Schedule read "The Marine Magis-

trates". Another consequential amendment still remains

to be made, i.e., in section 2 (f) of the Merchant Shipping

Ordinance, 1899.

In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency

the Governor may properly assent in the name of His Majesty

and on His behalf.
